Position Overview:

As a Retail Store Manager for Dutchmans casual living , you will be responsible for leading and overseeing

the daily operations of our Highlands store. Your primary goal will be to ensure exceptional customer

experiences, drive sales, and maintain the store's overall success and reputation. This position requires a

strong combination of leadership, salesmanship, and a passion for providing top-notch customer service

in the luxury home goods industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations Management:

● Oversee all aspects of the retail store's daily operations, including opening and closing

procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with company policies and


● Maintain the visual merchandising and product displays to create an attractive and

appealing shopping environment.

Sales and Customer Service:

● Lead the sales team by setting sales targets, motivating the team, and providing

guidance on effective selling techniques.

● Foster a customer-centric culture, aiming to exceed customer expectations and cultivate

Staff Management and Training:

● Schedule and organize staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient store operations.

● Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement appropriate measures to

improve employee productivity and engagement.

Inventory Management:

● Monitor inventory levels and work with purchasing and logistics teams to maintain

adequate stock levels of high-end furniture and home goods.

● Implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses due to theft, damage, or obsolescence.

Sales Analysis and Reporting:

● Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and other key performance indicators to identify

areas of improvement and implement strategies to enhance sales and profitability.

● Prepare regular reports for upper management on store performance, sales trends, and

customer insights.

Marketing and Promotions:

● Collaborate with the marketing department to plan and execute in-store events,

promotions, and marketing campaigns to attract new customers and drive sales.

Health and Safety Compliance:

● Ensure the store's compliance with health and safety regulations to provide a safe

shopping environment for customers and employees.


● Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar leadership role within the retail industry,

preferably in a high-end boutique or luxury home goods setting.

● Strong understanding of sales techniques and customer service principles.

● Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

● Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software.

● Passion for interior design and luxury home goods is a plus.
